Race Preview: 2021 Post Canyon 50K & Half Marathon (Hood River)

For the past 7 years, the folks who put on the Post Canyon 50K have been begging runners to “come get weird in the woods with us” and you’ve been doing just that! Once again, runners will get to experience gorge running at its best, with an ever-changing course that is both challenging and beautiful.

The 50K has about 5,500 feet of elevation gain and the Half has about 2,300. Here’s a bit about the course from the website:

There will be hard packed sections, lush sections, dry dusty ball bearing slippery sections, and views you should just STOP and stare at. There will be rocky sections we will call the BOULDERS OF HELL, and one hill in the 50k where you will need to ask for 10 fingers, or use the stump to get up the hill on the ridge line called Antoine’s.

Both races have some dainty, with a BIG ROBUST blend of GNAR GNAR, that will likely have you question your sanity. For surely the courses are diverse and adventurous with a good amount of down, up, level, and then back up, bunch of trail dancing.

Sounds amazing, right?! The races are cupless, so come prepared, as it is a requirement that all runners carry hydration.

When: Saturday, August 21st. Both races start at 7am.

Cost/Registration: 50K = $90. Half = $45. Register online at UltraSignup
