Perhaps you have never heard of Adrian, the small town in eastern Oregon, just an hour north west of Boise, Idaho. Perhaps it might seem like a crazy distance to travel for an event. But the Owyhee Off-Road Challenge is a half marathon, 10K, or 5K race that offers runners a chance to experience the beauty of the Owyhee mountains, and the hospitality of a wonderful small town, as well as volunteers that are simply amazing!
Runners can travel out to Adrian for the race, or compete virtually. As for the courses, each one has a bit of elevation gain, with the half marathon boasting nearly 1,400 feet. Still, the views of the Snake River and surrounding mountains make it worth the climbs, and the drive.
When: Saturday, March 27th. In-person races start at 10am, with pre-determined wave times.
Cost/Registration: Half = $60. 10K = $50. 5K = $40. Register online at Blue Circle Sports.
