The new sport sunglasses from Adidas are a welcome addition, even in gray and rainy Oregon as we do end up getting quite a bit of sun during the spring and summer months. While I normally just run with a watch, phone, and headphones, if there’s no rain I’m usually rocking a pair of shades as well. I prefer wearing sunglasses to protect my eyes from wind and debris as well as the random sunshine peeking out from the dark clouds that blinds us all.
The first thing I noticed with these new Adidas Sport sunglasses was how well they fit. The frames are extremely lightweight and very sturdy. They formed quite nicely to my face and felt very secure, even without making any adjustments on the frame. The frames also have ventilation holes to prevent fog and moisture from building up inside the lens which with COVID still putting a damper on our lives was very welcome. I found that running with a mask on still allowed moisture to form, but it dissipated much quicker when I removed it after I was away from other people again.
The lenses provided enough sun protection without being overly dark. One thing I did notice was that my sweat seemed to wipe off much easier and I don’t know if this was due to a protective coating on the lens or not but as a sweaty runner, it was nice not having the distracting droplets sticking right in the middle of my view.
Again, with how light they are and how well they fit, these get a thumbs up for me!
