Race Preview: 2021 My Muddy Valentine (Tualatin)

My Muddy Valenting logo

The first live event for Terrapin Events in 2021 promises to be a messy, muddy adventure. My Muddy Valentine is one of Terrapin’s two annual obstacle events (the second coming up in March and also planned for in-person).

“The return to racing is going to look a little different this year but for those eager to get back at it, the safety precautions are well worth it! Tackle the muddy terrain while conquering over 20 obstacles and physical challenges that wind you through the beautiful property of Lee Farms. All skills are welcome!”

The 5K and 10K options will be back at Lee Farms in Tualatin, though of course with changes to keep participants and volunteers safe. All participants will be scheduled into timed waves, with groups starting six at a time with 50 in each wave total. Racers will have to wear masks in the starting corral, finishing area, and any time within six feet of others. Other changes include participants needing to get ready and cleaned up near their cars in the parking lot; no showers or changing rooms this year. More details about safety guidelines are available online.

For those who want to participate but are unable to be at the event, there will be a virtual race option with shirts and medals mailed 4-6 weeks after the event.

No matter how you join in, there are lots of package options related to different swag items. Packages vary by cost and individual or couple registration. Among the potential swag items are parking pass, New Belgium tote with two beers, shirts, medals, beanie, pint glass, Cabot Cheese box.

Yes, there is lots of different. But different is needed this year. We can handle different. We are athletes after all.
