Race Preview: F*CK 2020: A Virtual New Year’s Run

Raise your hand if you ready for next year?

While this question would usually cause me a few moments of reflection before responding, when it comes to 2020 ending, my hand can’t get into the air high enough. And because I am a runner, I am thrilled to throw my hand in the air and then get out the door for a race.

Terrapin Events has been hosting a variety of virtual races since spring 2020 and has already planned a great one to celebrate 2021. F*CK 2020 is a New Year’s race to be completed either on December 31, 2020 or January 1, 2021 (or across both if you stay up late enough). Like with most virtual races, you choose the location. This one has a special option for choosing to split up the distance with one or three others. That means you can spend your F*CK 2020 “celebration” completing a 5K or 10K as an individual, two-person, or four-person team.

All race proceeds go to JPM project and will be used to purchase local gift cards for front line workers. And additional donations are being accepted through Terrapin’s website.

Even though the title may be a little harsh, this event is about bringing positive energy to a new year that has GOT to be better than the last!  So, let’s get together as a community and run full throttle into the new year!

No matter which distance, location, or day you choose, every finisher gets a medal and t-shirt in the mail. If you do not complete the distance New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day (and enter your time online), you will not get your celebration gear. And that would just be a miserable way to finish off your F*CK 2020 experience.
