Race Preview: 2020 RWP Winter 5k Race Series (Virtual)

After a whirlwind 2020, we all need more reasons than ever to get outside and run! Luckily, Run With Paula Events has you covered and has brought the 2020 RWP Winter 5k Series back by popular demand!

If you’ve never done this 5k race series before, this is the perfect year to start. Because races have gone virtual this year, you can pick any day or course you like within the window of time for each month, including PRC’s official race route from Portland Running Company in Beaverton. Just as in previous years, there will be an awesome long-sleeved Winter Series shirt available, and you can have each of the month’s badges pressed into the sleeve after completing each of the month’s 5k distances.

The idea behind this series originally was to run or walk the same course every month and push yourself to improve each time. This year, you can run the December 5k any time between the 12th and 20th, the January 5k between the 9th and 17th, and the February 5k from the 13th thru the 21st. This time is the perfect time to push yourself and see what you’re made of!

This series is also a great opportunity to run with family and/or friends from separate locations or another safe distance apart or together. It’s all about getting out there are making it happen, however and whenever you choose.

This year, the local charity that will benefit from part of your registration fee is Meals on Wheels People. There will be random prizes and giveaways after each of the races!

As always, the rule for this series is.. NEVER LET WINTER WIN!
