Run the PCT Virtual Race

Run the PCT logo whiteRun the PCT is a virtual race organized by local company Go Beyond Racing, the same team that created the My Favorite Place 50k. Run the PCT offers four distance options, and while of course you could record miles on the actual Pacific Crest Trail, you can rack up distance in your neighborhood, on trails near your home or work—literally anywhere.

Options include running the distance of the entire PCT (2,653 miles), or the distance of the PCT in Washington (506 miles), Oregon (455 miles), or California (1,692 miles). You can sign up for $40 for any distance, solo or as part of a team of up to 8 participants.

Registration opened June 1, and you have through August 31 to cover the distance. Five finishers will be randomly drawn to win a prize package with goodies and gear from Goodr, Gu, Hydrapak, Pro-tec, Portland Bee Balms, Black Diamond headlamps, and Go Beyond’s stash of racing sleeves and hats.

About Author

We started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. We also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support local race organizers.
