Getting rid of that stank with Nathan Power Wash Performance Detergent Capsules

Untitled

Even when I’m not working out multiple times per day during this COVID-19 quarantine, I end up with a lot of dirty workout clothes at the end of the day. And, not to brag, but I would be willing to bet mine are much grosser than the average person. So, in a completely disgusting way, I…win(?). I also think Nathan Power Wash Performance Detergent Capsules are a winner. I like to limit my impact on the environment, but for obvious reasons, I need some serious cleaning power. These were a great find with a 100% non-toxic, biodegradeable, and ecofriendly formula free from bleach, fabric softener, brighteners, and scents. A cleaner formula means less harsh chemicals in the environment and keeping clothes out of landfills is another small way to protect the planet.

The single dose orbs (good for a half load each – 2 for a full load) reminded me of miniature jellyfish and I have found that I have started tpo prefer these. I always feel like I waste liquid detergent when I use it, either by putting too much in the load or spilling some along the way. I haven’t tested it long enough to know if it truly protects & restores technical qualities to performance fabrics (i.e. water repellency, breathability, and moisture-wicking), but I can say it does a great job at cleaning, including serious sweat and stink. My mom might not like that I throw all of my clothes into one load, since she taught me to sort and separate colors, fabrics, etc., but this seems to be OK with these capsules, since it works on all fabrics. I haven’t had anything bleed or transfer to other items, so it’s good for the environment AND saves time.

The clothes came out clean and, while there is a lot of built in stink in some of my clothes, I have found that the seem to be keeping them smelling as good as they can, and perhaps in some instances even more. scent free. I also like that it gets the stink out and that I don’t smell like a lilac, since I’ve tried some pretty fragrant products. The verdict is still out on if these capsules will restore my stinky tech shirts, since I haven’t been using it long enough, but all of the other marketing claims were true. Better for the environment and serious cleaning power, Nathan’s Power Wash Performance Detergent Capsules seem to be a great product and anything that truly assists with my nasty clothes is a solid investment.
