Race Preview: The Ruff 2020 (Carson, WA)

If it feels like The Ruff just made its debut, you’re not mistaken! Back in October, this challenging event up Dog Mountain burst onto the race scene and now it’s back again as an early season opener! Our friends at Alpine Running are back in the Gorge with The Ruff on March 15th, so I hope you’ve gotten in some good hill training to make the most of it!

It’s a shorty, but don’t be deceived! With just 7 miles to cover, there’s also around 3,000 feet of climbing to be had…in the first 3 miles! Enjoy the view at the top and then come screaming down the last 3 miles to the finish. All on beautiful single track.
Registration includes a race shirt and post-race snacks and drinks. And even though this is up Dog Mountain, unfortunately doggos are not allowed on course due to permit conditions.
This race got rave reviews back in the fall so take advantage of this early-season challenge and sign up soon!
