With 15 race events each year, Oregon Road Running Club (ORRC) knows how to create a great experience for all of their runners and walkers. This is a completely volunteer-based non-profit that wants every person at the race to feel part of the community.
And at Champoeg on March 7, the community will have a massive number of races to choose from.
By using a 10K looped course in the park, participants can choose from a marathon, marathon relay, 30K, half marathon, or 10K. And there’s a kids’ race for those little ones who came along to cheer. The course uses pedestrian paths in the park, with different distances following the loop different amounts. For example, the marathon relay has each of four team members doing the loop once.
Experience a unique combination of history, nature, and recreation on a 10k Champoeg Park course through forests, fields, and wetlands.
The 10K event has been selected as the 2020 RRCA Oregon Championship race event, with champion medals for top overall, master (40+), grandmaster (50+), and senior grandmaster (60+) male and female winners.
If you’re not interested in running or walking on March 7, join in as a volunteer and earn a voucher toward a future race event. Volunteers are a beloved part of ORRC and critical to making these races such a success.
