Race Preview: 2020 Buck Mountain Mudslinger Trail Run (Silverton)

No photo description available.

I’m a road runner who loves a good trail race from time to time. Buck Mountain Mudslinger is one of my all time favs! I’ve run this one a number of times and it’s always a great adventure. Run Wild Adventures does such a great job with Buck Mountain Mudslinger. The course goes up and over Buck Mountain loop and onto Smith Creek trail, a challenge to say the least. Some years there has been snow and you can always count on mud! Lots of it. This race is also fun one to dress up for. The Cowboy/Cowgirl theme is fantastic fun! Run Wild Adventures gives out prizes for the best dressed Cowboy and Cowgirl for an added bonus. Age group awards are also given along with numerous random prizes too from sponsors! You can count on a post race campfire party with cold beer, hot coffee, chili and snacks as you wait for friends to finish and listen as awards are given out.

Event: 11th Annual Run Wild Adventures Buck-Mountain Mudslinger Trail Run

Time: Race Starts at 9:00am. Packet pick-up will be from 7:30-9:00am race day morning.

This is a very scenic single and double track equestrian trail. You can expect lots of elevation gain/loss. I highly suggest trail shoes as my friend actually lost a shoe in a muddy area a few years back. It made for a great memory but plan accordingly! Ha!

Pets are welcome at this event!
