Race Preview: Oregon Brewery Running Series 5k at Level Beer (PDX)

Sure running a 5k is fun, but what about running a 5k and then having it immediately followed up with live music, great food, and refreshing craft brews?  The Oregon Brewery Running Series kicks off their 2020 season Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Level Beer with all that and more.

Participants can opt to walk, jog, or run 3.1 miles along a designated route (Course TBD) that will take you through parks and along sidewalks and trails. While the race is not timed and may not end with a medal, racers are invited to enjoy the post-run entertainment: live music, great food, giveaways and activities with partners and sponsors. Everyone receives a craft brew and collectors pint glass or seasonal swag item. 10% of the event’s proceeds help support the non-profit organizations, Oregon Brewshed Alliance, and Dollar For Portland.

The cost of this event is $30 and includes one beer or one non-alcoholic drink. Those 21+ and planning to drink will want to make sure to bring valid ID.  The run begins at 11am but participants are asked to please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start to check in.  Also note that roads will NOT be closed down for this event, so please watch for traffic and obey all traffic laws and regulations.  Additionally, there is no bag check, so you’ll want to make sure to leave your valuables in your locked car or secured somewhere else.

For those unfamiliar with The Oregon Brewery Running Series, the biggest takeaway is that these events are all about being active, having fun, and giving back. Even if you aren’t a full-fledged beer fan, you won’t want to miss out on this incredibly fun, family friendly event.
