Race Preview: 2020 Bristow Trail Runs 50K/25K/10M/5M (Dexter)

The 2020 Bristow Trail Runs at Elijah Bristow State Park in Dexter, hosted by Level 32 Racing, can be an early season ultra, or kick-off-the-trail-running-training mid-distance, or just-a-little-fun-run, but whichever one you choose, it’ll be beautiful and challenging.

The course is a 5.2 mile loop, all on flat, single-track trails, and runs adjacent to the Willamette River. The distance options are just loops of the course: one loop for the 5 mile-ish option, twice for the ~10½ mile option, 3 times for the 25k, or 6 times for the 50k. Featuring a few shallow stream crossings, this event is a great way to get your feet wet, no pun intended, for trail miles you’ll inevitably run the rest of the year! You can check out the course map here, which is slightly revised for 2020 due to a missing bridge and trail closure.

There will be two aid stations located on the course, and each will be passed twice, giving racers 4 aid stations per loop. There will also be an aid station at the start/finish area for those doing multiple loops. Water, Gatorade, electrolyte drink, and GU will be available.

Custom awards will be given to the top three overall male and female winners in each distance, and the top three in each age group for each race will receive a Bristow Trail Run finisher’s medal. Award winners will be recognized throughout the event in lieu of an actual awards ceremony.
