Race Preview: 2020 Rogue River Half Marathon & Alyssa Watson Memorial 5k Run (Rogue River)

Southern Oregon Runners presents the Rogue River Half Marathon & 5k, which takes place on Saturday, February 8, 2019 in Rogue River, Oregon at Fleming Park. This cost friendly will be benefiting the Hidden Valley High School Cross Country Program.

The half marathon, with a 3-hour time limit, will be an out-and-back course on the Rogue River Greenway bike path with some continuation onto some traffic roads. Here’s a description of the course:

Runners then turn left on Lampman Rd for a short out-and-back to give the exact 13.1 mile distance. Runners then get back on Rogue River Hwy which crosses to the north side of the river via Rock Point Bridge. After the bridge runners turn left back the direction they came on River Rd. At about 9.1 miles, you will turn left on Twin Bridges Rd. and enter Valley of the Rogue Park and the Rogue River Greenway bikepath before crossing the river again via the Depot St. bridge and finishing where you started.

There will be three aid stations with water and Gatorade and roads will be open to traffic so runners should stay on the left shoulder and follow the rules of the road. There are will be several porta-potties along the course as well as public bathrooms along the bike path.

All half marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal.
