2019 Races on our Radar: December 17

Welcome to the latest post in the 2019 Races on our Radar series, where we report on cool and/or low-cost races, group runs, price and registration deadlines, and other things we think you should know about it.

We would like to you hear from you, too. If you’re in the know on a race that you think others need to check out, let us know via email, twitter, or facebook!

Get ready for some great low-cost races this weekend!

  • Tualatin’s Ugly Sweater Run is a donation-based registration, and it’s capped, so sign up early if you want to race. The event is on Saturday, December 21.
  • Eugene’s Jingle Bells Run has a 5k and 15k for $25. That’s a great price for a 15k and the reason this race made our Radar this week. The race is on Sunday, December 22.

Price bump to watch for:

  • There’s a price increase for the Cascade Half on December 24. Register before that and the half is $45 and the 10k is $35. The race is on Sunday, January 19 in Turner, Ore.
About Kelly Barten (1146 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
