BadAss Lady Gang Cheer Station this Sunday @ the Holiday Half

Ladies, join us this Sunday morning at a cheer station for the Holiday Half. We’re meeting at 8a at the corner of Willamette and Woolsey, so we’ll be able to see the 10k, 10-miler, and half marathon participants. We’ll also mark off a quarter-mile and half-mile from our cheer station so we can do some out-and-backs to stay warm and log our own miles in the meantime.

Bring whatever you want: Chairs, blankets, dogs, snacks, drinks, Bluetooth speakers, and especially signs to hold up!

Dress so you’ll be warm and comfortable, and if you plan to run, definitely dress in layers so you don’t overheat and then freeze. If you want to get festive and dress like Buddy the Elf or Yeti, that’s cool too.

In addition to cheering and running, it’s likely we’ll make an attempt at caroling, since one of our leaders (RunOregon blogger Kate Elligsen) is a really good singer. And what I lack in talent I made up for in enthusiasm.

The race is sold out, so if you find yourself with nothing to do on Sunday morning, come say hi and stay for a while! And if you’re racing, be sure to say hello as you pass by.

About Kelly Barten (1146 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
