Every January brings with it the promises of a new year, with new potential, new chances, and new races to try.
Y2K Run is the first Oregon Road Runners Club race of the year. And a great first chance for you to get out into the countryside and enjoy 6.2 or 13.1 miles with friends in 2020. The course wanders through rural roads in Washington County, starting and finishing at Tom McCall Elementary School.
ORRC puts on 15 events each year with an all-volunteer leadership and support team. So they focus on what runners and walkers want in an event, because they after often participating right alongside you. For this January event, participants get to wait for the start inside the school (stay as toasty as possible as long as possible). And then afterwards everyone comes back together for a pancake breakfast.
While you are looking into this great event, be sure to also learn more about the ORRC 10K series. Commit to a great new challenge in 2020, and earn some points and prizes along the way.
