Race Preview: 2019 Reindeer Run (St Helens)

The 10th annual Reindeer Run will take place in St. Helens on Saturday, December 7th, offering participants to walk or run a half marathon, 10k, or 5k. The race starts and ends at Columbia River Foursquare Church with a cozy indoor start/finish area, including indoor bathrooms!

All three distances head generally south and southwest from the start, and they use an out and back course through town, along the outskirts of town, and on country roads. The 5k turnaround point is a small loop around McBride Elementary School before heading back north on Columbia Blvd. The 10k starts the same way, but continues on to its turnaround on Millard Rd. The half marathon also shares the same starting miles, but it adds a long southward leg on Hazen Rd to its turnaround at the half way mark.

Online registration is now open. Adult registration cost is $50 for the 5k, $60 for the 10k, and $70 for the half marathon. Students aged 18 and under enjoy a $15 discount on all race distances. Prices will increase by $5 on November 1st, and by another $5 for day of race registration.

You can also join the event on Facebook to stay up to date on deadlines and potential announcements.
