Preview: 2019 Ho Ho 5k from X-Dog Events (Tigard)
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to don holiday gear and go run 3.1 miles for Ho-Ho’s and Sno-Balls, right?
Right!
Hosted by X-Dog Events, the Ho Ho 5k is also a drive for the Union Gospel Mission (collecting canned food, jackets, and blankets) and the Oregon Humane Society (dog and cat food). Any person making a donation will receive $5 off their entry or an event shirt.
Billed as “a festive time,” The Ho Ho 5k is a fun run for runners and walkers. It’s timed, but there’s no pressure to go any faster than you want. All finishers will be eligible for raffle prized and be given an evergreen seedling to plant. X-Dog himself (Kevin) will award the top three overall finishers and the top three masters finishers with a hand-made trophy … these are the epitome of creativity!
In addition to the raffle, the evergreen seedling, the Ho-Ho’s and Sno-Balls, there will be hot cider at the finish and a special visit from Santa Claus.
