The fine folks at Lay It Out Events have turned the Happy Girls Run events into more than just a race. For their upcoming event in Sisters, runners are encouraged to stay at Five Pine Lodge, where on Friday night before the race, racers will have the chance to do far more then just pick up their bib and swag bag. Race organizers have assembled a variety of running industry vendors, who will have running apparel and many other great things available, while there will also be appetizers and cocktails. The purpose, as always, is to provide a vastly greater experience for women to enjoy hanging out with one another, while also making this more about the weekend, and not just about a few miles.
And while the half marathon is already sold out, the 5K still has plenty of spots. The nice thing is that your entry gets you more than just a pair of socks and the satisfaction of having completed a 5K. There is the after-party, including food, and the Friday night get-together. Add in the allure of being in Sisters, which is always an amazing place, and you have a great way to spend your weekend with your favorite people!
