Race Preview: 2019 Autumn Trails (Eugene)
The 2019 Autumn Trails, hosted by Level 32 Racing, will be on Sunday, November 3rd and again offers four great distance options to run: 3.5 miles, 6 miles, 10 miles, and 16 miles. These distance estimates are rough, as they take advantage of the local trails and can only be as long as the sum of their parts!
All of the distances start and finish near Frank Kinney Park. They start with a loop on the Rexius Trail, between Martin St and Snell St. All courses climb up the Amazon Headwaters Trail to Fox Hollow Road. The 6-mile includes a loop over to the Dillard Road connector trail. The 10-mile includes a spur to Willamette and Dillard. The 16 mile includes a spur out to Blanton Heights, South Willamette (around the south side of Spencer Butte), and the Dillard connector trail as well. Click here to check out the course maps.
There are five aid stations on course, at the main trail junctions, and will be stocked with water, GU Brew, GU gels, and some light snacks.
There will be custom wooden medallions for the top three overall male and female winners for each distance. The top three in each age group of each distance will also get medals.
This is definitely a nice, fall event on some great trails near Eugene!
