Race Preview: 2019 Cross Trot (Eugene)

For many student athletes, the beginning of the school year also marks the beginning of cross country running season. Casual (and competitive) adult athletes can get in on the fun as well, and one of those opportunities comes on Sunday, October 20th, when this year’s Cross Trot in Eugene will be run at Laurelwood Golf Course in Eugene. The course will be rolling on gravel paths and trails, and across grass fairways. This event is open to all ages, with a youth division 3k starting out the afternoon (4pm girls race, 4:30pm boys race), followed by the open division 5k at 5pm. Dogs are not permitted on the course, and strollers are strongly discouraged.

Online registration is open. The 5k registration costs $27, and the 3k for youth ages 17 and under is $10. Event shirts are available for purchase. Individuals can also compete as a part of a team and contend for team awards.  Teams can have an unlimited number of runners, with the top four fastest times counting towards a team’s total combined time.
