Race Preview: 2019 Bigfoot 10K (Bend)

380776A8-93C3-4B79-9CE3-7866E5F0039C

Labeled as Bend’s oldest, and fastest, 10K race, the Bigfoot 10K has seen a few changes in recent years, including a new course last year. Runners will enjoy the paved bike path that winds downhill from the Cascades Lakes Welcome Center, then transition onto dirt as they follow the Deschutes River, running under the Bill Healy bridge, and finishing in RiverBend park. Some very fast times have been laid down over the years, on a course that offers a great opportunity to PR this distance.

In addition to the Bigfoot 10K, organizers encourage runners to bring the whole family so the kids can run the LittleFoot race that take place in the park. Central Oregon Running Klub hosts this race, and encourages everyone to stick around after for food, fun, and prizes.

When: Sunday, October 6th. The 10K starts at 9am.

Cost/Register: The 10K = $40.00. Littlefoot = $5.00. Register online at UltraSignup.
