The annual Fight For Your Life 5k is coming up quick on September 29th and will, as usual, be held at the French Prairie Gardens. The race honors Emily Pohlschneider-Edwards, who fought for her life against a rare form of women’s cancer. All proceeds of the race go to Em’s Fight Foundation, which supports local women in the community who are struggling with cancer. Funds are used to help pay for treatments, transportation to treatment, childcare, clothing, rent or other bills, groceries, or a family trip.
The race is hosted by Emily’s family at their farm French Prairie Gardens in St Paul and will take runners on dirt road winding through farm land out in the country. You can check out the course map here. There also will be a 800m kid’s dash for children ages 5-10, so bring the whole family for some running and then stick around for family activities, food vendors, and other farm day fun!
