Lopez Lomong and Woody Kinkaid will be making an attempt to run the Olympic A Standard of 13:13.50 tomorrow night (Tuesday, September 10) on the Michael Johnson Track at Nike’s campus in Beaverton.

Joining the pair will be Matthew Centrowitz, the last gold-medal winner of an Olympic 1500m, and eight-time Canadian Record holder Moh Ahmed. Currently, Lomong holds a PR of 13:11.63, Kinkaid can boast a 13:12.22, and Centrowitz has run a 13:20.06.

We started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. We also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support local race organizers.
