Small Mid Valley Races Preview: 2019 Run For Hope and Health (Salem) & Sublimity Harvest Festival Fun Run

The 2019 Run for Hope and Health 5k/10k Run/2 Mile Walk will be held on Saturday, September 7th this year. This event benefits Salem Free Clinics, which provides healthcare to those who cannot afford it.

The cost of the 5k and 10k run is only $35. The 10k will kick off at 9:00AM and the 5k starts at 9:15AM. The 2 Mile Walk will be in the middle, at 9:08AM, and the cost for that is $25. Ages 6 and under will run for FREE! All will start on Minto Island Road in Salem. Every participant will receive a custom t-shirt and a free delicious meal from Café Yumm!

After the race, stick around for some food, raffle prizes and some fun games (cornhole anyone?)

When: Saturday, September 7th, 2019 9:00AM for 10k, 9:08AM for Walk, and 9:15AM for 5k.

Also on September 7th, Sublimity is having their annual Harvest Festival which features the 2019 Sublimity Harvest Festival Fun Run 3k/5k/10k in addition to a whole weekend of events including a monster truck show, a tractor pull, games, and live music. There’s also a children’s fun center, so it will be a very family friendly weekend.

All of the running events will take place on asphalt roads and proceeds benefit the Sublimity Grade School Parent Teacher Club. You can see the 3k run/walk course here, the 5k run/walk here, and the 10k run here. All events will begin at 9:00AM at Sublimity Grade School. The cost is only $15 for any distance until race day when price increases to $20. Kids under 12 are FREE!
