Race Preview: 2019 Oregon Women’s Half Marathon (Eugene)

There are so many good things to celebrate in life, and doing so with a bunch of friends can make those good things freaking fantastic. That’s especially true with running. The long miles seem shorter with a friend you can talk to, laugh with, and maybe blame if you decide the distance was a little too far (been there, done that, apologized later).

The Oregon Women’s Half Marathon can be a great chance to go on a good long run with some friends. A run that has a finisher medallion at the end. Oh, and about that end, it’s at Noble Estate Winery.

If you want to go sign up and then read the rest of this preview, I’ll wait…

This race has lots of perks for you and your friends, above and beyond the winery ending. A few of my favorite details include that the 4-hour time limit is welcoming for walkers and runners of all speeds. And for those racers who have enough shirts already in the closet, you can choose to skip the shirt for this race and still have the medallion and wine glass to show off. And last but not least on my favorites list is the post-race yoga that will be led by Stop Drop & Yoga.

13.1 miles leading to yoga and a wine tour. I want to go to there.

One last thing before I forget: This event is focused on “Celebrating and Empowering Women”…and “Yes, men can participate, too!” So, bring along any and all of the friends you want for this one.
