If you’re looking for something fun to do the weekend of July 20th, there’s a wonderful event that celebrates the city of North Bend’s birthday. Consider running or walking in the 2019 July Jubilee 5k Jaunt in it’s 6th year. This is the last race in the Triple Crown Race Series which also included the Mayor’s Firecracker Run and the Trail N Treat 5k.
The Jubilee 5k Jaunt begins on the North Bend Boardwalk, just east of California and 101 South (Sherman Ave.) It’s a mildly hilly course that should be a lot of fun! Run it, race it, or take a leisurely stroll. The cost of the South Coast Running Club’s event is only $10 and the walk is a free event. The run includes a t-shirt (the walk does not.) Shirts can also be purchased at the event on a first come, first serve basis.
The family-friendly Jaunt is part of a whole weekend celebrating North Bend and featuring music, dancing, delicious food and an all car cruise. There will be a parade, booths, and free hot dogs for all! Check out the festivities here.
