Small Mid-Week Mid-Valley race previews: Twilight Trot 5k (Eugene) and Gold Rush 5k (Cottage Grove)

Due to the most common availability of racers, most races are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays. Therefore it is nice to find some mid-week races that may work for those with less conventional work schedules, or those who would be working out in the evening anyway.

The Twilight Trot 5k  takes place at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 18th at the Laurelwood Golf Course in Eugene. This cross-country style race takes you on golf cart paths, single track gravel trails, and across grassy fairways. You can expect rolling hills and challenging terrain. Online registration is open, and it’s just $25 (until 7/10). You can purchase an event shirt during registration for an additional $12. Chip timing is provided by Eclectic Edge. After the race, stick around for age group awards, raffle prizes, and refreshments.
