Race Preview: 2019 Run with the Eagle 5K and Fun Run (Beaverton)

Now in its 6th year, the Run with the Eagle 5K is a low-priced neighborhood run in the Sexton Mountain neighborhood in Beaverton. It’s described as “a joint partnership of the Sexton Mountain Parent Teacher Club and the Sexton Mountain Neighborhood Association Committee.”

There is a chip-timed 5K race that starts at the track at Sexton Mountain Elementary School, winds through the local neighborhood, and finishes back at the track. The 5K starts at 9 a.m. There is also a non-timed fun run that goes twice around the track (1/2 mile total) at 10:30 a.m. The 5K registration fee is just $10, and the fun run is free!

Last year, over 170 runners participated in this race! Race goodies include a race shirt, goodies bag from Big Al’s, and a finisher’s medal. (The race website doesn’t have much information beyond the basics, but you can find out more details from the race’s Facebook page.)
