Dogs. Birds. All the animals! If you love dogs, birds, or any animal for that matter,chances are you will be benefitting them as you participate in either of these events. The Dog Gone Run in Redmond is a 5K, 10K, or 1 mile fun walk, all designed with you and your pooch in mind, all while benefitting Brightside Animal Center. The course runs along the paved Dry Canyon trail, starting and ending in Sam Johnson Park. And while it’s not a requirement to run with a dog, those that do receive an awesome bandana for their furry buddy. Beyond the shirt that each runner gets for entering, there is a pancake feast following all the races!
When: Saturday, June 15th. Races start at 9am.

Meanwhile, lest you thought that running had gone to the dogs, the Run For The Birds 5K in Sunriver is all about benefitting the Sunriver Nature Center and Oregon Observatory. Run or walk the 5K race or 1K kids race and enjoy stunning views of Mt. Bachelor and Sunriver. Hang around following the race for awards and the post-race celebration that includes visits with a live owl. All runners participating will receive a medal, and 1st- 2nd- and 3rd place male and female finishers will win a one-night stay at Sunriver Resort!
