Right in the middle of Bite of Bend weekend is a 5K race where you get to enjoy tastes of local breweries along the course, and then a full beer at the finish line. Need I say more?
The Bite of Bend Beer Run starts at noon on Saturday, June 16th, making it the perfect set up to enjoy vendors before and after the run. The event sells out each year and is limited to participants 21 and over (which makes sense with the beer tasting and all). The 5K loop will take runners and walkers through Drake Park, past the Deschutes River, and back through Columbia Park to the finish line arch. The first 500 finishers will receive an added prize to celebrate their race. Those who participate in costume will be eligible for prizes too. And since you’re at Bite of Bend, really everybody’s a winner.
The 5K is just $20 until race day (when the fee goes up to $30). A great price for a Saturday afternoon run in the park with a local celebration at the end. Bite of Bend includes local chefs, bartenders, brewers, and you(?).
