RunAway Girl’s Weekend – Trail Running, Wine, Food, and Yoga for women October 19-20

Ladies! This post is for you. A friend of the blog, Colleen Cleary, who is a running coach and health coach, is hosting the 2nd annual RunAway Girl’s Weekend this October.

This getaway is at Abbey Road Farm in Carlton, Ore., and includes a whole lot of support for women from all walks of life. Participants will join in a trail run and yoga class, take part in wine tasting and sharing delicious food. Cleary, a native Oregonian who has been a distance runner for about a decade, created the event to celebrate running, our beautiful state, and a space for women to champion themselves and each other.

“I don’t know where to start on how restorative the RunAway Girls Weekend was,” says 2018 participant Kathy Payne. “From the moment we arrived everything was perfect; the crisp fall morning gathering at the Abbey for a run/walk/hike whatever your heart desired, to the luscious breakfast, yoga on the lawn, massage and just time to meet new friends. If you are looking to restore yourself from every aspect, this is the get away to do that!”

If you want to snag one of the few remaining spots, you can save 20% with the code RunOregon when you sign up. There are day-only registrations for $95, or overnights for $200 (double occupancy); when you factor in the discount that’s a great deal on a fun girls getaway — sorry, a fun girls RUNaway — weekend! About Kelly Barten (1023 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
