The 7th annual Stoller Community 5K Run/Walk (and Jr. Jaguar Jog!) will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the Bethany / Cedar Mill area of Beaverton. Last year had a huge turnout of participants, volunteers, and sponsors and because this race supports such a great cause, consider joining for 2019! Proceeds will be used to improve the physical and mental health of students at Stoller Middle School in the Bethany area. Projects include new equipment for health classes and the Fit Lab, as well as modernizing the Stoller Library to make it more inviting for students to read, learn, and collaborate
The 5K will start and end at Stoller Middle School and will take runners through the rolling neighborhoods, pass Bethany Village and on to the THPRD Morgan’s Run Park Trail (which will have a water station and port-a-potty). Racers will continue past Pirate Park, cross over Kaiser Road to the paved THPRD Rock Creek Trail and finish back at the school. Strollers are welcome, but sorry, please leave the doggos at home.
The Junior Jaguar 1K will begin at 8:30 and the 5K participants will begin at 9:00 AM, with awards at 10 AM.
1K Jr. Jaguar Jog:
- Free – for younger children only. Those participating in the Jr. Jaguar Jog still need to register and sign the appropriate waivers. Youth t-shirts can be purchased for $5 during the registration process.
- Adults – $30
- Staff of Beaverton School District – $20
- Students (All K-12 Schools) – $20
- Family – $110.00
The 2019 Pastry Run, hosted by Insomnia Coffee, will also be held on Sunday, April 28th, in Hillsboro and will benefit The Red Tricycle Brigade, an volunteer-run non-profit doing good deeds, spreading joy, and helping other organizations meet their goals (I suggest poking around the website. It’s quite the inspiration). This particular event will help give toys to the children’s cancer hospital.
The Pastry Run is a 5K in Hillsboro, starting and ending at the Insomnia Coffee shop on Baseline. Dress up and bring a ton of enthusiasm to join the running for the “Spirit Award” as well!
