The Spring Classic Duathlon & Home Depot Half Marathon, 10K & 5K is fast approaching, taking place on April 14, 2019. The multi-sport event, put on by Why Racing Events, will be a great opportunity for athletes to either cap off their winter training, or kick start their spring training.
Duathlon 5k run / 15 mile bike / 5k run
Duathletes will be treated to pristine views of the Columbia River on a flat and fast course running almost entirely on Marine Drive, which is closed to vehicle traffic. The bike route will consist of 15 miles of smooth pavement (zero railroad tracks) with the only appreciative elevation gain or loss occurring as you travel beneath the Glenn Jackson Bridge.
Home Depot Half Marathon, 10k, & 5k
Runners will also have the pleasure of a flat and fast course on Marine Drive along the Columbia River, with a start and finish taking place at the Home Depot off Airport Way.
Post-race events will take place in the Home Depot Parking lot, and will include high energy music, fun vendors, and refreshments including brunch and beer. Every race participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and finisher medal. Awards will be presented to the overall top 3 male & female champions and overall masters male & masters female champion. Awards will also be presented to the 1st thru 3rd place finishers in each individual age division, as well as the clydesdale, athena and relay divisions.

- 7:45am for Half Marathon and 10K,
- 8am for 5K, and
- 9am for Duathlon
Where: Starts and ends near Home Depot (11633 NE Glen Widing Drive). Park in front of Concordia College
Register: Online until two days prior to packet pick-up, then in person on day of race.
