Race Preview: 2019 Alsea Falls Spring Fling Half / 10K / 5K (Monroe)

The Alsea Falls Spring Fling trail runs are a really fun and challenging way to start the spring racing season. Hosted by our friends at Oregon Trail Runs, the 2019 event will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at the beautiful Alsea Falls (~1 hour from Corvallis and/or Eugene). Once again there will be a half marathon, 10K, and 5K option featuring lush forests and dreamy singletrack. The half marathon will be a lollipop course (featuring ~2,000 feet of elevation), and the 10k and 5k are each out and backs. Visit the race website for an elevation profile and interactive course map!

This event is cupless, so be sure to bring a cup / bottle / bladder with you! The post-race festivities will also include a BBQ, so throw in a few camp chairs and blankets to enjoy, hang out, and cheer on the rest of the runners as they come in! The top two male and female half marathoners will receive 50% off entry to the Mary’s Peak 50miler/50k/25k event in June and all other category winners will receive 50% off any Oregon Trail Runs event.

You can read our race recap from the 2018 Spring Fling here and can also catch me hamming it up as the feature photo on the Ultrasignup page! Hope to see you out there!
