Ask Miles Anything: Being in love with Mrs. Squatch and sales

Meet Miles!
This cute little guy is the new mascot for Foot Traffic, one of the most well-respected running stores in Portland and SW PDX. Each month we will be doing an AMA with Miles (stay tuned to our Instagram) and posting his responses here! Here is our January interview and read on for some new questions from our readers this month!
Q. “How many miles per year do you run? I was at 400 in 2017 and 500 in 2018” [From IG user]

A. Given that I often traverse large mountain ranges and some of the most wild reaches of the NW, my mileage is really really hard to track. I’m off the grid! But my good friend, Freddi the Yeti, bought me a Garmin for my birthday and now I can finally track it. My estimate is about 4,500 miles.”

Q. “The PNW is one big adventure, but where in the PNW is your favorite for a run, walk, or ride?”  [From IG user]

A. The coast. I was raised in the mountains and Cascades, but I just love emerging from a fog-covered mountain to witness views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I would say Neahkahnie Mountain is one of my favorite short runs given that you can go from sea to summit in under 10 miles if you start down at the beach.

Q. “Are you in love Miles?”

A. Yes. I have a family squatch, so I have a very special Mrs. Squatch at home. She is the love of my life and is the most beautiful Bigfoot in the NW! I love her from the hair on her cheeks and in her ears, all the way down to her beautifully furry toes. I’m also in love with shoes. I have a shoe fetish. I’m known throughout Bigfoot social circles as the one to ask about any shoe question. This is why I get so excited about BIG sales at Foot Traffic, such as our Foot Traffic Event Expo on Feb. 16th (huge shoe sales that day) or the spring time when we get a lot of new-release shoes starting in February through June.

Thanks Miles! See you next month!
