Race Preview: 2019 My Muddy Valentine 5k Obstacle Race (Tualatin)

When you think of celebrating Valentine’s Day, a mud run is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a good idea! On February 9th, the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, the “My Muddy Valentine” 5k Obstacle and Mud Run takes place at Lee’s Farm on 65th Ave in rural Tualatin. The race starts at 10am with the elite race, followed by open division waves starting every 15 minutes. The 5k course takes you through the paths and fields behind the country store offering 20 obstacles of varying difficulty and muddiness. (There’s a way to circumvent every obstacle if necessary.) At the end of the race, you’ll be nice and muddy, even though the last obstacle is the “hog wash”. After the finish, firepits, food, and drink are available, as well as changing rooms. Hot showers can be purchased for $5 to get clean and warm right away.

Parking is very limited at the farm, therefore parking tickets are available for sale for $10 during time of race registration. You can also park for free at Meridian Creek Hospital and take the free shuttle to the event site. Shuttles will be running continuously from 8:30am – 2:30pm. Register now using promo code MUDDY19 and save 10% on My Muddy Valentine Mud Run & Kids Race. Prices increase on January 18th.

If you want to experience the fun without getting too dirty yourself, you can sign up to volunteer at the race, earning yourself credit towards other Terrapin Events races.
