Setting Goals for 2019 with the Get To Work Book

Despite the fact that we are in a time of all things digital, I still get excited about a fresh, new, hand’s on planner. So, with January just around the corner, I can’t wait to break out my 2019 Get To Work Book. This sturdy book is right up my alley as it is both a daily planner and a goal setting workbook in one. It’s the perfect tool to help make “big things happen one day at a time.”

The Get To Work Book starts each month with a page dedicated to “Reflect and Goal Set.” This page allows you to reflect on your previous month and celebrate what you accomplished, then decide what you still need to work on and what you should let go of, and think ahead to the next month. This is followed by a motivational text print, which is printed on heavy stock and is perforated so that you can take it out and post it somewhere to help keep you motivated. It also has a place to write what your focus for the current month is. Then there is a section with the entire month at a glance, followed by weekly pages with plenty of room to write on each day. Each week also includes a side-bar with a place to write your action items for the week and a place to check it off when you finish. There’s nothing like the satisfaction of checking something off your list, so I’m kind of loving this feature. At the end of each month are pages to write down projects, deadlines, etc. to prepare for the following month.

Overall, if you are a goal-setter (or you want to be) this is organized just for you! As a goal-setter myself, I love that this planner has a place for your to reflect on things at the end of each month. I tend to get into that pass or fail mode and I often forget to think about what I did accomplish or what I should let go of.

As I thumb through the Get To Work Book, I’m already getting excited about setting some new goals for myself and getting them down on paper. I do so much better on my goals when I have them written down versus just making a plan in my head. I am currently in the midst of some goals I set for myself recently – which are currently written down on some random pieces of paper. I look forward to January when I will open up my planner and reflect on my current goals and then make a plan for moving ahead. And, they will all be written down in one place – not on random pieces of paper! Seriously – what is it about a brand new planner that gets me all excited and re-energized for goal setting? If you are like me, I think you’re going to want to get your hands on the Get To Work Book so you can hit the ground running (literally or figuratively) in 2019.
