Ever had one of these thoughts after crossing a finish line:
• “That was so much fun. Too bad it’s over.”
• “Wow, I could totally have done that better.”
• “The race is over. Now what am I going to train for?”
• “Last race of the year. I wonder what next year will bring.”
Well then, have I got a race for you. 🙂
First Run in Eugene gives participants the opportunity to get in one more race before the end of 2018 (barely) and then jump on those 2019 resolutions right away. The 2018 event begins at 11:59pm on Monday, December 31st and then the 2019 event is bright (but not too early) at 10am on Tuesday, January 1st. There are 5K and 10K options for both distances, and signing up for both not only makes you a rock star, but also thrifty as you save some money.
The course is the same for both days, with a start and finish line at Columbia Foyer at Valley Inn. The course is new this year and keeps participants on the Delta Ponds side of the river. The full map is available online.

2019 First Run (Eugene)
When: Monday December 31 at 11:59pm and/or Tuesday January 1 at 10am
Where: Columbia Foyer at Valley River Inn (1000 Valley River Way)
Register: Online, at Eugene Running Company (116 Oakway Center) or Run Hub NW (515 High St) until Dec 30, or Race Day
Packet Pick-Up: Options or Race Day.
Cost: $25 for one event; $40 for both. $5 increase on race day. Participants 17 and under, or 60 and over save $5. Long-sleeve tech shirts available for $14.
