Race Preview: 2018 Autumn Trails Eugene (3.5 Mile/6 Mile/10 Mile/16 Mile)

Who doesn’t love running through the park trails in Eugene? This year’s Autumn Trails Eugene event, brought to you by Level 32 Racing, is on Sunday, November 4th and you have 4 different distances to choose from. The distances are 3.5 miles, 6 miles, 10 miles, and 16 miles and since the length of the trails is what determines the route distances, the mileage is approximate.

There will be a staggered start for all of the races beginning at 10:00AM near Frank Kinney Park in South Eugene. The routes will begin on the Rexius Trails between Martin St and Snell St and climb the Amazon Headwaters Trail to Fox Hollow Road. The 6 mile route will loop over to the Dillard Road connector trail and the 10 mile run includes a spur to Willamette and Dillard. The 16 mile run includes a spur to Blanton Heights, South Willamette, and the new Dillard connector trail. There are 5 aid stations on the course which will be stocked with water, GU Brew, GU Energy Gels, and some light snacks. You can view the course map for yourself so there are no surprises on race day here.

The cost of the race is only $30 for the 10 and 16 miler races, with a $5 deduction for youth 17 & under. The 6 miler and 3.5 miler is $25 and again youth 17 & under as well as those 60 & over can deduct $5. Technical shirts will be available for purchase for $14 and there will be a limited amount available on race day.

There will be custom wooden medallions for the top 3 overall male and female winners for each distance. The top 3 is each age group of each distance will also get medals. 2 pairs of Altra running shoes will be awarded randomly.

Cost: $30 for 10/16 Miler, $25 for 3.5/6 Miler. Youth 17 & under and 60 & over deduct $5. Add $5 on race day. Tech shorts are an additional $14.
