Race Preview: 2018 Oregon Coast 50K and 30K

Long distance runners, check out the Oregon Coast 50K and 30K race coming up on October 13 and 14! While this year’s event is already sold out, it looks like an amazing course with great views that you probably want to get on your list for 2019. Both distances have some impressive elevation gains. The 50K has a gain of 4500 feet and the 30K gains 3800 feet overall. While the 50K starts with 6 miles of hard packed sand, most of the miles for both races are on single track trail and follow the coast line with a big inland loop at Cape Perpetua.

Afterwards runners will enjoy tasty hot food and beverages, live bluegrass music, and the satisfaction of completing an impressive trail run. Rainshadow Running puts on many popular trail races, so be sure to check out their race calendar for 2019, as the rest of their 2018 events are completely sold out! Don’t miss out on this one again!
