Small Race Preview: 2018 Miles for Midwives 5K (St. Paul)

If you’ve never been to Champoeg State Park in Saint Paul, here is a great reason to go! If you have been, you know it’s ideal for a 5K so put the Miles for Midwives 5k race on your calendar for Saturday, September 22nd – it’s for a great cause!

The course is an out-and-back on a paved path through the scenic park. This event is very family and dog-friendly so bring everyone!

The event proceeds will benefit the Oregon Affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives, whose work helps midwives make a difference in Oregon healthcare through scholarships, educational projects, and legislative action that supports midwifery and access to healthcare for Oregon women and their families. Additionally, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to Baby Blues Connection, a local organization that provides support, information, and resources to women and families coping with pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders and to the professionals who care for them. And last but certainly not least, the diaper drive will also happen, so consider bringing a pack of diapers (any size is appreciated!) for donation to the Nurse-Family Partnership.

Spend the day at Champoeg for a great cause!
