Race Preview: 2018 Pacific Northwest Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5k (Eugene)

The Pacific Northwest Marathon, half marathon and 5k will be September 15th, 2018 this year -a date that is one of the closest you will find for registering for the 2019 Boston Marathon. It’s a perfect USATF Certified marathon as your “last chance” for making it to Boston ’19 (or just to run a great late summer/early fall event.

The Pacific Northwest Marathon starts in Eugene, running through Coburg and Harrisburg. The Fall weather in Oregon generally makes for excellent racing weather! The course is one of the flattest courses in Oregon, starting at 400 ft, ending at 325 ft. The course will take you along the Willamette River to the small town of Coburg, then into Harrisburg. Both the full marathon and the half marathon are flat, fast, and gradually downhill. You will also experience the scenic farmlands of the southern Willamette Valley. All three races will end at Harrisburg High School! You can take a closer look at the course on the interactive maps here!

“I loved the availability of the race organizers who are there to help you and answer your questions! I had lots of questions as it was my first and they went beyond both the day of bib pick up and day of marathon with there support!”
