The Molalla River Trail Race isn’t your typical trail race! It’s filled with stunning Oregon beauty with 100% trail on a nice challenging course that is famous for Bigfoot sightings! What? Yes, come see for yourself! Rumor has it that Bigfoot always on his best behavior while seen on this course! It will leave you feel amazingly strong at the finish line, no doubt, assuming you don’t get drug away by Sasquatch.
You can choose from three different distances – a 5k walk or run, 10k run, or half marathon. All races will take place on the Hardy Creek Trailhead- beginning on a double track trail, just up the hill from Hardy Creek trailhead before moving to some single part way through the race. The challenge will be monster hills! Please note that there will be no cell phone service in this area!
As there is limited partking at the trailhead, shuttle buses will load from 122 Grange Ave and start at 7:15a. The last bus will leaves Foothills in Molalla at 8:15a. It is advised to get there early as there is a 1/3 mile hike to the start. Shuttle buses return to Foothills at 10:30a, with the last bus leaving at 12:45p.
Gear check area will be located at the shuttle drop off area at Hardy Creek in a dry and covered trailer. Use your packet pick up bags and the gear check tabs on your bib.
Awards for the 5 and 10k will be at 10:30a. Half marathon awards TBA
Registration and packet pick up opens at 8:00a that morning. Of course you can pick up your packets early if possible. Thursday, September 20 from 5-8:00p at Road Runner Sports (7063 SW Nyberg St Tualatin).
- Bigfoot 5k walk or run: $35.00 (race starts at 9:30a)
- Bigfoot 10k run only: $40.00 (race starts at 9:15a)
- Bigfoot Half run only: $50.00 (race starts at 9:00)
*registration ends September 21st at 12:00p and all races are capped at 150 per event.

A course preview is planned for Saturday September 8th at 8:00a with the Molalla Running Club. Meet downtown Molalla at 215 East Main St. You will then car pull up to the trail for the preview.
