Come to North Bend on August 11th for the 2018 Circle The Bay 30k brought to you by South Coast Running Club. You can split this up into a 3 person relay or tackle the whole distance yourself depending on what sort of race day you’re looking for.
This race starts at Ferry Road Park in North Bend and travels through Coos Bay on the waterfront before looping back to the park. If you choose to split it up among 3 team members, the first leg is the flat leg, the second leg has some rollers, and the third leg is the one you’ll give to someone who wants the challenging hills.
Water will be available at the exchanges which are located approximately every 6 miles. Plumbed toilets are at the start/finish lone and chemical toilets will be available at the exchanges. There will be no place to shower or change, so come to the race in what you plan to race in.
There will be post-race food and beverages and all participants, volunteers, and family members are welcome to join. 30k finishers will get a Circle the Bay medal to celebrate their victories!
If you sign up for the race before July 31st, you’ll get a t-shirt with registration, so go for it!

The 9th annual event is an out and back that starts due west of Pelican Brewing and runs south to the turnaround point. Free shirts are included with registration, as well as handmade finishers medals. There will be one complimentary Pelican Brewery beer for you to celebrate your victory (or root beer if you prefer.) There will of course be awards as well as music and snacks.
All funds from this race will benefit the NVELC Fundraiser. The Nestucca Valley Early Learning Center provides quality affordable childcare to those that need it in the community.
