Just north of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is the town of Powers, Oregon, and the site of the White Cedar Days 5K/10K race. The race route follows an abandoned railway (minus the tracks), and is self-described as “[c]hallenging … but oh, so beautiful!”
Start time is 9 am, from 120 Fir Street in Powers. The entry fee for the race is $0 – but as this is a fundraiser for the Powers Track & Field Team, the suggested donation is $10 for the 5K or $15 for the 10K. Additionally, there is a race shirt for purchase for $15.
