Race Preview: 2018 Race Against Child Abuse – North (Clatskanie)

The Race Against Child Abuse – North events will be hosted by the Amani Center, a non-profit organization established to develop and operate a child-friendly, community-based center where alleged child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, and/or Domestic Violence/Witnessing Violent Crime can find support.

This event includes a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K walk/run. It is part of the Heritage Days in Clatskanie, so the races end at the annual Cruiser’s Car Show to take in the rest of the festivities! The courses are fairly flat and rural, starting in the heart of the city and extending onto the dike along the Clatskanie River. The 5K & 10K routes are out-and-back, while the half marathon is a semi-loop with some out-and-back portions. You can check out the course maps here.

All racers receive a finisher’s medal and those registered by June 4th are guaranteed a race shirt.

Pre-race packet pickup will be on Friday, June 29th at Fin’s Coffee Shop from 4-7 PM.
