Race Preview: 2018 Miles for Mothers (Redmond)

Mother’s Day is fast approaching! There’s no better way to tell your mom you love her than to make her run 3.1 miles with you, as you sweat together and share memories of your childhood. Right? Seriously though, Miles for Mothers is fun race for a number of reasons. First, it takes place is beautiful Redmond, Oregon on the flat (read, no hills), paved Dry Canyon trail that cuts north and south through town. Second, the race benefits counseling for mothers in need, through a local counseling agency (WaterCup Counseling). Lastly, it’s a very affordable race and one the whole family can enjoy!

There are 2 race distances to choose from, either a 5K or a 10K. Both will be professionally timed and will both start and finish at American Legion Park. There will also be a 1K kids fun run that also starts and ends at the park. Food and beverages will await all finishers and moms will get a special gift! Weather this time of year can be unpredictable but typically May mornings are cool and beautiful. So make a day of it and come enjoy Redmond with you mom!

When: Saturday, May 12th. 5K/10K races start at 9am. Kids fun run starts at 9:15.

Cost: $10- Kids Run w/medal ($15 day of Race)
$25- 5K/10K Race w/custom mug ($30 day of Race)
