Race Preview: 2018 Shotgun Trail Blast (Marcola)

The 6th annual Shotgun Trail Blast (and second event in the Run Big Trail Series) is hosted by Level 32 Racing and will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2017. Per usual, the event will feature a 50K, 25K, 10K and 5K in Marcola – a few miles on the outskirts of Eugene.

The base for each event is a 5.2 mile loop (5K-ers will do an out and back; we promise it’s not a “long” 5K!). The 10K will do a short out and back, then complete the loop, the 25K will loop 3x, and the 50k will loop 6x. As a classically scenic trail run, racers will be treated to a little climbing (~570 ft per loop), a little water, and plenty of mud. The event(s) start and end at the Shotgun Creek Recreation Center.

Custom wood medallions will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each event. All participants are eligible for random prize drawings throughout the day.
